Susan Ferraro has been creating nature fiber art professionally for over 25 years. She earned her degree in Design and continued on to produce and exhibit award winning art quilts in museums, galleries, and art shows around the country.

When visiting Maine, she often admired another kind of fiber art, traditional hand hooked rugs, especially enjoying the sculpted Waldoboro rugs. Now, a full-time resident of Bailey Island, Maine Susan passionately hooks rugs, sculpture, and mats. Her designs illustrate a combination of traditional rug hooking techniques with contemporary color, style and dimension. Fish, shells, birds and boats are amongst several designs available for classes, workshops and commission work.
